NOLAN: Good Afternoon, Blazers, and welcome back to Info flow from home! Today is Thursday, October 15th. I’m NOLAN. 
SKYE: And I’m SKYE. In local news, Montgomery County has reached 23,696 cases of COVID-19 and 815 deaths as of Tuesday, October 13th, with a three day average of 98 new cases.
NOLAN: Now, let’s hear about a special series that BNC is starting: Iceblazers!

SKYE: In the school district, football coaches around the county have rallied together to urge the school board to allow in person workouts to resume.This comes after states across the nation begin their in person pre-season training. 
NOLAN: If you are planning to run for Freshmen class officer, please fill out a form made by SGA  by October 24, 2020. Candidates are allowed to campaign on social media through videos or electronic posters once the form is turned in. The ballot for voting will be done on a google form sent out during your U.S History class on October 29th and 30th. Winners will be announced on the Blair SGA Instagram (@blairsga) and Twitter (@Blair_SGA) page on October 30th.
SKYE: Let’s hear from the Science National Honors society

SKYE: If you’re interested, make sure to apply by October 23rd.
NOLAN: The United States might be within months of developing the first working vaccine. However, we may be working with a series of vaccines that only provide moderate protection. Many vaccines are entering important trials, but some companies have come across hurdles, such as Johnson & Johnson which announced Monday that it was pausing its phase 3 trial after a volunteer got sick. 
SKYE: One of the newest Blair Clubs is Project LIT, a place to bring your love of Blair to books and friends. Project LIT is a diverse community of readers and leaders and is open to all.
Join them on Thursdays during lunch to meet up with friends, discuss books and more. They are working with sponsors to get copies of the books to you in whatever format you prefer, whether it's print or eBook. 
NOLAN: They will have an interest meeting on Thursday, October 15, during lunch from 11:30 to 12:15. The club sponsors are Ms. Lamphier, Mrs. Chen, and Mr. Middleton. Look out for a Canvas email from the Media Center for the Zoom link. We look forward to seeing you Thursday on Zoom!
