| ANNIE: And I’m ANNIE. Montgomery County has announced that a group of citizen scientists will undergo a project to map out various neighborhood temperatures. The project is part of a larger effort by the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration to determine heat islands in urban islands. The areas include Aspen hill, Montgomery village, rockville, germantown, and Bethesda. |
| LEVI: Despite a rising number of COVID-19 cases in Montgomery County, hospitalizations remain low; county officials say natural immunity and higher vaccination rates mean that the current wave hasn’t impacted the health system like previous ones. |
