MICHAEL: Welcome back to Infoflow, Blazers. Today is Thursday, March 31st. I’m MICHAEL
And I’m MICHAEL. Today’s Women’s history month fact is about Malala Yousafzai Malik, a Pakistani activist and the youngest Nobel Prize Laureate. She advocated for girl’s education in the Swat Valley in Northern Pakistan and was targeted by the Taliban for her activism. Following an attack, she moved to the UK and created the Malala Fund, which aims to give girls around the world a right to education. In 2014 Malala was awarded with the Nobel peace prize. In 2020 she graduated from Oxford and plans to continue her activism.
The FDA has authorized a fourth dose of the Covid-19 vaccine for those 50 years or older. The booster is recommended after 4 or more months after their previous booster. Both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have been approved for the fourth dose.
Tuesday morning there was a wind driven fire in Ashbourne, Virginia affecting four  homes. Three of the affected homes have been completely destroyed and two people had to be taken to the hospital for burns but are expected to make a recovery. The fire has displaced nine adults and two children.
