InfoFlow Episode 7.117 – 3/18/22

[Infoflow intro] + [pledge of allegiance]
HABIB: Welcome back to Infoflow, Blazers. Today is Friday, March 18th. I’m HABIB
GABE: And I’m GABE. Today’s Women’s history month fact is that in 1770, a bill proposing that women using makeup should be punished for witchcraft was put forward to the British Parliament. The use of makeup was frowned upon during this period for the effect it would have on men, and women who were thought to be luring men in with scents, makeup, wigs or other cosmetics were thought to be performing the devils’ work by inciting lustfulness. Even the Queen took a hard stance on makeup, calling it “impolite.”
HABIB: Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks have detailed their plan for a new stadium for the Washington Commanders in a report obtained by News4.It suggests the new stadium be built on the present FedEx Field site that the team currently owns. It proposes building a practice facility, team headquarters, hotel and conference center, a community hub including the sports and learning field house, the stadium, and an entertainment district.
