Skye: And I’m Skye. Today’s Women’s History Month fact is about Rita Moreno, an actress, dancer, and singer born in Puerto Rico. At the age of 11, he had her first experience with movies dubbing Spanish versions of English movies and soon after made her Broadway debut. Moreno is also the first Latina woman in history to win all 4 major American entertainment awards.	SKYE:Y yo soy Skye. El dato del mes de la Historia de la Mujer de hoy es sobre Rita Moreno, una actriz, bailarina y cantante nacida en Puerto Rico. A los 11 años, tuvo su primera experiencia con películas haciendo doblajes de películas en inglés y poco después hizo su debut en Broadway. Moreno también es la primera mujer latina en la historia en ganar los 4 premios principales del entretenimiento americano.
MATHEW: Last Thursday around 10:30 there was an explosion and fire at the Friendly Garden Apartments in Silver Spring. Fourteen people were injured in total. 225 people have been displaced. Investigators have found a cut gas pipe in the apartment but the cause of ignition is not known.	MATHEW: El jueves pasado alrededor de las 10:30 hubo una explosión e incendio en Friendly Garden Apartments en Silver Spring. 14 personas resultaron heridas en total. 225 personas han sido desplazadas. Los investigadores han encontrado una tubería de gas en el apartamento, pero se desconoce la causa de la ignición.

MATHEW: The Blair Society for Minorities in STEM or BSMS is a club that aims to uplift the voices of students from diverse backgrounds and inspire them in the field of STEM. They meet on Wednesdays during lunch in room 323 at 11:30. At this Wednesday’s meeting they’ll be playing science-related musical chairs. Hope to see you there! SKYE: Math Honor Society will be hosting a pi day on Monday, March 14th at the media center during lunch. There will be fun math-related activities for you to participate in and stamps for you to collect along the way, verifying your completion of activities as you go. If you complete all of the activities, you’ll get a slice of pie delivered to your 7th period! You’ll also have the opportunity to buy pie right outside of the media center.	SKYE: La Sociedad de Honor de Matemáticas está organizando un día de pi el lunes 14 de marzo en la biblioteca durante el almuerzo. Habrá actividades divertidas relacionadas con la matemáticas para participar en y estampillas para que recolectan en el camino, verificando que hayan completado las actividades. Si completan todas las actividades, ¡recibirán una rebanada de pie en su séptimo período!  También tendrán la oportunidad de comprar un pie afuera de la biblioteca.
