MARISA: Welcome back to Infoflow, Blazers. Today is Thursday, March 3rd, I’m MARISA
MIREYA: And I’m MIREYA. Women’s history month fact is about Jeanette Rankin the first woman to be elected to hold federal Office in the United States. Elected to the house of representatives to represent the state of Montanna in 1916 four years before the 19th amendment was ratified. Rankin famously voted against the US entering into both world war one and two stating “As a woman I can’t go to war, and I refuse to send anyone else.” 
MARISA: The Silver Spring Library has been named the Brigadier General Charles E. McGee Library. McGee was one of the last surviving members of the Tuskegee airmen, the first black military pilots in the US army. McGee passed away on January 16th of this year. 
MIREYA: Governor Larry Hogan has announced that he’s dissolving the sister state relationship with Leningrad Russia following the invasion of Ukraine. The relationship was first established in 1993 .
MARISA: Current SMOB Hana O’looney experienced online harassment following a video of her voicing support for continuing the mask mandate in schools posted to twitter. The county board of education will be meeting on Tuesday the 8th to make a decision on the mask mandate. We’ll keep you updated in the coming week

MARISA: March is Music in Our Schools Month!  Here’s today’s Music in Our School Month Fact: On March 1, 1941, the first FM Radio station opened in Nashville, Tennessee. Forty years later on August 1, 1981, MTV aired the first ever music video!
