LEVI: Welcome back, Blazers, today is Friday, October 1st. I’m LEVI.

LEVI: In MCPS there is a new test-to-stay program in development that would allow students to stay for in-person learning if they come into close contact with someone who has COVID-19. Instead of staying home, students would take rapid tests daily 5-7 days after they were exposed, and they would be allowed to come to school if they kept testing negative and followed all of the other safety precautions. 
SAMMI: Blair Amnesty International is writing letters to put pressure on the US government to fight for the rights of people affected by human rights violations in Afghanistan. If you’re interested, come to room 226 during lunch today to help!

LEVI: Come and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by getting a temporary tattoo during lunch! Studio Art students designed amazing tattoos to commemorate unique Mexican folk-art traditions. They will be giving out the temporary tattoos outside the SAC on the stadium side during lunch on Friday

CATE: Hello, I’m Cate,EMILY: Hi! I’m Emily, and we are members of the SGA.CATE: Homecoming is coming up, Blazers! The celebration will be Saturday, October 9th, 6:30-9:30 pm. We have a couple announcements to make in preparation for this exciting event. Remember, all application links can be found in SGA’s instagram bio @blairsga.EMILY: You can purchase tickets from the concession stand near the auditorium during lunch, or from Ms. Fuss.Are you energetic and full of school spirit? Applications for Blazer mascot are now open!CATE: We’re looking for emcees for the upcoming pep rally! If you’re ready to get the school pumped up, apply to audition!EMILY: Do you or someone you know want to be Blair royalty? Homecoming court nominations are now open! A vote will be held next week, the week of homecoming, on those who have been nominated.CATE: Next week is spirit week! Make sure to show your school spirit and participate!

LEVI: Juniors and Seniors!!! Homecoming tickets are on sale today during lunch at the concession stand. Tickets are $20 and must be paid for by cash or check.
SAMMI: If you need a calculator for the October 13th testing, you can reserve one.THe calculators are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so don’t wait until the last minute
LEVI: Next week will be spirit week! The days will be: PJ Monday, Twin Tuesday, Pink out Wednesday, Throwback Thursday, and Red out Friday! Announcements will be made daily here on infoflow and there will be a banner on Blair Boulevard in case you forget the days. Make sure you show your spirit through the week by participating in the spirit days!
