InfoFlow Episode 7.016 – 9/29/21

[Infoflow intro] + [pledge of allegiance]
LEVI: Welcome back, Blazers, today is Wednesday, September 29th. I’m Levi.
SAMMI: and I’m Sammi. The WSSC is warning residents of Germantown Maryland to stay away from Seneca Creek after a recent sewage pipe collapse.  An estimated 10,000 gallons of sewage are expected to flood the creek. The pipe collapsed in a heavily wooded area, between Dawson Farm Road and Porterfield way. The cause of the collapse is unknown, and it has yet to be fixed.
LEVI: Pfizer has submitted the data they gathered in a test trial of the vaccine on children ages five to eleven to the FDA. According to the company, the test results are looking promising, and proving to be safe and effective. The FDA must now approve an emergency authorization of the vaccine, which is expected around late october.
SAMMI: The NBA is adjusting their rules for the 2022 season after fan pushback. The NBA is adding greater penalties for “foul hunting” tactics used in the game. Foul hunting is when a player uses abnormal movements to force contact with a defender, in order to get the referee to foul the other player. This new rule will hopefully level the playing field.
