Infoflow 7.009 – 9/20/21

[Infoflow intro] + [pledge of allegiance]
BELLA: Welcome back, Blazers, today is Monday, September 20th. We hope you enjoyed your weekend! I’m Bella.
SIENA: And I’m Siena. France has fast tracked the immigration process for those working at the frontlines during the pandemic. This includes healthcare workers, cleaners, and store workers. Despite being announced in September over 70 people have already been given a french passport and around 700 are in the final stages.
BELLA: Beginning October 1st, the U.S. is mandating coronavirus vaccines for new immigrants. The decision to mandate the vaccine is added along to the list of mandatory vaccines like measles, mumps, polio, and hepatitis B. This mandate applies to immigrants who are seeking citizenship through a green card.
SIENA: For the first time in over a year, NFL stadiums are finally allowed to open at 100% capacity which means fall football is back! Football started a little over a week ago and the stadiums were filled with fans, some dressed in costumes or with painted faces. Only a couple stadiums required proof of vaccination but many asked unvaccinated fans to wear masks to prevent covid spread. With more events being open at full capacity, it gives many people a sense of normality despite the circumstances with the delta variant.
BELLA: The MCPS school board has decided to push more homecoming events outside this year due to covid. No music or dancing will occur indoors.
SIENA: Now let’s take a look at Blair’s student-run a capella group, Intone Nation!
