CARLOS: And I’m CARLOS. In the news, global carbon emissions are expected to rise after three stable years. They predict that Global carbon dioxide emissions from all human activities will reach around 41 billion tonnes carbon dioxide in 2017.
EMMETT: Hey Blazers! The fall blood drive is coming up on November 29th! Sign up starts Wednesday the 8th and ends Wednesday the 22nd. You must be at least 16 years old and 110 pounds to be eligible. At your appointment time you will be excused from class. Snacks will be provided after the donation. I promise your donation won’t be IN VEIN.
CARLOS: Do you identify as Black and/or Jewish? Are you currently in eleventh grade? Do you want to learn in depth about the Civil rights movement and current events that affect the Black and Jewish communities? If your answer is yes, then you should apply for Operation Understanding DC’s Class 24. The application and program are free, and it is an amazing opportunity to meet students in the DMV who are just as passionate as you are. Go to http://oudc.org/apply/ to apply. EMMETT: Hey baseball players, wanna hear a joke about a pop fly? Actually nevermind; it’ll just go over your head. Anyway, if you’re interested in playing baseball for Blair this Spring, there will be an important meeting today at 3:25 in room 227.

EMMETT: Do you need SSL hours and want to make a difference in Blair athletics? Are you already a part of the track and field team and have an interest in a leadership role? If so, Coach Johnson-Wormley invites you to a meeting for prospective managers and team captains today in room 352 from 3:30 until 4:00. The success of the track team depends on it! She’s looking forward to seeing you there.
CARLOS: Wanna show a friend how grateful you are for them? Stop by the table on Blair Blvd during 5th Lunch to purchase a Gratitude Gram. Write your friend a note saying how thankful you are for them and they will get a Krispie Kreme donut delivered to their class! Gratitude Grams are $2 and will be sold all week during lunch. All proceeds go to Hurricane Relief with the help of the Junior class. You DONUT want to miss it.
