SODA: And I’m Soda. Today’s weather will be partly cloudy with a high of 39 and a low of 22.
CARLOS: In the news, the East Coast was hit hard by winter storm Stella Tuesday. From Maryland to New York, there was much less accumulation than anticipated, but New England experienced up to 30 inches of snow.
SODA: It’s the time of year again for the Blood Drive. If you want to donate, sign up from today through March 24th on Blair Boulevard. You must be 16 and older to donate. Go and donate today!
CARLOS: Blazers! Do you want a free SAT, ACT, or AP review book? Do you have old books that you want to donate? Go to Blair Boulevard during both lunches any day this week (March 13th to 17th) to donate and swap review books. You can get the first book for free. After the first book, you get 1 book for every book you donate. Remember, go to Blair Boulevard to donate and swap review books during both lunches all of this week. SODA: FRC Team 449, the Blair Robot Project, finished its first competition this past weekend at Walt Whitman High School in 18th place and was presented the Innovation in Control Award sponsored by Rockwell Automation.  Additionally, Blair’s own Wilfred Mbobda Nono captained a local robotics club, Team Illusion, to a 6th place finish after the qualification rounds and invited Team 449 to join its alliance in the elimination rounds.  In an exciting best 2 of 3 elimination round, Team Illusion and the Blair Robot Project were defeated by an alliance including Wheaton High School’s own Team 5115, the Knight Riders.  The team’s next competition is March 25th and 26th in Edgewater Maryland. Go on out to support the Blair Robot Project.
CARLOS: The Montgomery County Regional SGA is running a grant program this year for students and their clubs. All clubs that have an educational purpose and cultivate leadership in any way are encouraged to apply. They will be allocating $1000 total to clubs for this second semester application period. Let’s take a look at MCR.
