SODA: We’ve got another great show for you, but first, please stand for the pledge.

SHESH:  Welcome to Infoflow. I’m Shesh.
SODA: And I’m Soda. Today there will be a high of 73 and a 70% chance of showers.
SHESH: In the news, the first presidential debate happened last night this past monday night between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, and was viewed by millions of Americans.
SODA:  Are you applying “Early Decision” to a college?  Did you complete a Capstone Project?  You can get a special letter of recommendation attached to your transcript packet.  See Ms. Blaha in room 342 for more information!
SHESH: Interested in joining Blair’s Science Olympiad team? Tryouts will be held in room 373 during fifth lunch, and room 363 during sixth lunch, today! Email mbhs.science.olympiad@gmail.com if you have any questions, and we hope to see you soon!
SODA: Hey Blazers, are you interested in helping the environment? Keeping the school clean? Or do you simply need more SSL hours? Well, the Green club is now open on Wednesdays after school at 3:20, in room 362. If you want to know more, talk to Mr Cirincione in room 216.
SHESH: Attention ESOL Leadership Council members: the next meeting will be after school Tomorrow, September 28 in room 152. Please arrive by 2:45. If you are interested in running for a club officer position, be prepared to give a short speech about why you are the best candidate. All interested ESOL levels 4, 5 and R-E-L-L students are welcome!
SODA: Are you interested in playing girls’ basketball this year? Are you a girl? If you meet those conditions, workouts have started and will continue until try-outs. Workouts are every Monday and Tuesday from 3:40-5:40pm. They meet outside at the basketball courts. If you have any questions come find Ms. Ferguson in the science office.
SHESH: Are you interested in government and politics? Ever wanted to write and debate your own bill, argue court cases, or learn how to be a lobbyist? Want to spend a few days at the state capitol in Annapolis? If so, join Youth & Government, which is holding its first meeting on Wednesday, 9/28, during 5th and 6th periods in room 251. Bring your friends and come to learn more about this fun and interesting club! If you have any questions or concerns, please email mbhs.yg@gmail.com. See you there!
SHESH: Have you ever wanted to sing outside of school, maybe in a group? Blair’s student run a capella group, Intonation, can let you do just that! They’re holding auditions from today until friday, and they want you to try out. They’re in the market for tenors, sopranos, and basses, and they’d love to hear some beatboxers, but anyone can audition, even if you don’t know your voice part! If this is in tune with your desires, all you need to do is bring a song that fits your voice to room 5 during fifth or sixth lunch, and flaunt your talent! It’s a great opportunity to get some a capella experience, and a general fun time.  
SODA: Blazers! The BLISS Online tutoring website is now available to all students! If you need help with homework, go to tutors.mbhs.edu to chat with online tutors. Use your student ID# and school password to log on. Tutors will be available from 4 to 10 PM on every day except Saturday.

SHESH:  Attention students who served as an outdoor ed counselor last week! Please make sure to complete a SSL activity form and turn into Mrs. Hiscock in room 130 to have your hours count. Your hours are not automatically applied for going and you certainly do not want to give up these 30!  
SODA: We will have our first annual bring your Father to School day this Friday, September 30th.  This event will be sponsored by Minority Scholars Program, Black CAP, & League of United Latin American Citizens.
Fathers will have an opportunity to attend classes with their students and then participate in a Student versus Father Soccer event in the stadium during both lunches sponsored by the Blair Rec Zone.
If you and your father are interested in participating in the Father versus Soccer Game please stop by the main office to sign-up.
SHESH: Science National Honors Society is hosting Computer Science Day at Blair from 1:00 to 3:30 on Friday, September 30. There will be guest speakers from industry, and students will learn about topics such as cybersecurity, microcontrollers, and smartphone programming! Contact snhs.mbhs@gmail.com for more details!
SODA: Attention students who served as an outdoor ed counselor last week! Please make sure to complete a SSL activity form and turn into Mrs. Hiscock in room 130 to have your 30 hours counted.
SHESH: Calling all current and would-be Blair Mock Trial members! They will have their first official meeting of the Blair Mock Trial team today, at 3:30 in room 274. Come one, come all; they would love to have you!

SHESH: The deadline to submit your payment for the College Readiness Exams is this Wednesday September 28th.
The first ninth and eleventh grade English classes to get 100% of the students in the class to pay for their  exam will be entered into a drawing for a pizza party. The fee for 9th graders is $10, and the fee for 10th and 11th graders is $15.

We have breaking news…….
Any students who pays prior to the deadline will be entered into a drawing to win their choice of a $25 gift card, a free season pass to all the athletic events or two free homecoming tickets.
Remember the deadline is September 28th.  Please get your payment in by this Wednesday.
SODA: Hey Blazers, homecoming dance on Saturday, October 22nd is coming up soon. We know you want some special songs to be played! Fill out the homecoming song request for that was sent to you by Mr.Klein, with your top 5 song choices. Click the link in your email and tell your DJ what you want to hear!
