| ADEN: And I’m ADEN. For today’s Hispanic Heritage Fact, Roberto Clemente was a Puerto Rican baseball player for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Clemente was the first Latino player to be named the MVP, and he spent much of his offseason doing charity work in Latin American and Caribbean countries. |
| SILVAN: Gaithersburg police have arrested at least one person after a brawl during Friday night’s football game between Gaithersburg and Northwest. During the third quarter, players from both teams began fighting on the field, with coaches eventually joining in. The game was stopped with Northwest leading 14-0, and both schools’ football programs have been suspended while MCPS and police investigate the incident. |
| ADEN: Labor Secretary Marty Walsh has reached a tentative deal with railroad workers’ unions to delay a strike until strike votes are finished being counted. The two largest rail unions, representing over half of union railroad workers, have already committed to a strike if their issues with scheduling and staffing aren’t resolved. |
