| SKYE: And I’m SKYE. Virginia has reported its first presumed case of monkeypox. The patient had recently traveled to Africa and was not infectious during travel. They are currently in isolation with no need to hospitalize and they pose no danger to the public. |
| SIENA: Fairmont Heights High school in Prince George’s county went into lockdown Thursday after a student brought parts of a ghost gun into a classroom. The lockdown began around noon and was lifted after 90 minutes after officers searched the grounds and took the student into custody. Prince George’s police have increased patrols at schools. |
| SKYE: White House officials are currently planning to cancel $10,000 in student debt per borrower after months of deliberation over how to structure loan forgiveness. Some of the details of the plan could change before the White House makes the decision official- however the announcement on the final decision is suspected to come soon. |
