LEVI : And now, let’s hear from Rosie about a story in the upcoming cycle of silver chips! |
ROSIE: Hi, my name is Rosie Orzulak and I’m a staff writer on Silver Chips print. For our May cycle, I wrote a story about the athletic rivalries between our athletes and other schools in Montgomery county. My story explores the factors that fuel the animosity towards these schools, and how it manifests within the sports community. I talked to some Blair athletes and coaches, for the inside scoop on how they feel about their rivals, and how practices and games go, particularly against these rivals. With the prominence of modern social media culture, rivalries are often brought to platforms like instagram. In late January, BCC’s student-lead spirit instagram, @rollrons, started beef with the blazer ragers online. My story talks about how some of the members of Blazer Ragers felt about it, and how they feel about rivalries in general. Check out my story when the cycle is distributed! |
LEVI : Thanks Rosie! |
