MICHAEL: And I’m MICHAEL. Orrin G. Hatch, who was the longest serving Republican in Senate history has died at 88. Hatch retired in 2019 after winning a senate seat for Utah in 1976, and was well-known for collaborating with Ted Kennedy on the Children’s Health Insurance Program, as well as the Ryan White Act.
CELESTE: Governor Larry Hogan has sworn in Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Anne K. Albright to the Court of Special Appeals.The Court of Special Appeals is the second highest court in the state.

CELESTE: This week is Holocaust Remembrance Week, and Blair is having a series of events dedicated to learning about the Holocaust, the legacy of genocide, and Antisemitism. Today “When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit,” a film about Jewish refugees will be shown in the Media Center during lunch. Tomorrow a book discussion of the newly banned book, “Maus,” will take place in the Media Center. On Thursday and Friday “The Book Thief” will be shown in the Media Center and  during those lunches, students are invited to write letters to Maryland Representative and Senators in a day of action led by Amnesty International and We the East Clubs in support of refugee and migrant rights. The letter writing campaign will occur in Blair Blvd opposite the Media Center, in front of the staff courtyard. 
MICHAEL: The SGA is holding a fundraiser this week, ending on Friday, April 29th. Donations go to Doctors Without Borders and their efforts to support Ukraine and its people. You can donate online or stop by the main staircase on Blair Boulevard. Each in-person donor will receive a blue or yellow ribbon to wear in support of Ukraine. CELESTE: There will be a meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the Blair Field Hockey program next fall during the first half of lunch on Friday, April 29 in Room 263. Make sure to see Coach Lusby prior to the meeting if you cannot attend.

GWEN: Good morning Blazers, I hope you had a great weekend and get excited for warmer temperatures this week! Today will be a high of 68 and a low of 43 with an 85% chance of showers and scattered thunderstorms throughout the day. Tomorrow will be cooler, with a high of 54 and a low dropping to 32. On Thursday the high will be 56 and the low 33. Finally, on Friday it will be sunny again with a high of 66 and a low of 40.
