| LAUREN: And I’m Lauren. &pizza, a fast- casual pizza chain which specializes in long, rectangular, thin crust pizzas, has opened another location in the Gaithersburg Square shopping center. In recent years, the chain has expanded in Montgomery County, with this being the 5th location in the county. |
| AILEEN: On Sunday, the 64th Annual Grammy Awards show was held. The song of the year was awarded to “Leave the Door Open” by Silk Sonic, and the album of the year went to Jon Batiste for his album “We Are”. The show featured performances by popular artists such as Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Jon Batiste, and Lil Nas X. Also featured in the show was a prerecorded video from Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, who reminded the audience of the ongoing war and called on the music industry to continue to spread information about the conflict. |
| LAUREN: As Russian forces withdraw from the Kyiv region, the devastation brought by the Russian invasion has been further revealed. World leaders have condemned the actions Russian soldiers took against civilians in suburbs in Kyiv, as calls for new sanctions and investigations into alleged war crimes grew. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video that Russian actions amounted to a genocide, as recovery efforts are still active. |

| AILEEN: Hi Blazers! The sophomore class council is having a fundraiser next Tuesday, April 5th after school from 4-8pm. Make sure to show up to the four corners Chipotle and tell them you are there for the 2024 class council fundraiser at check out to help out. Proceeds go back to the school to fund more amazing events. See you there! |
