SAKYIWAH: And I’m SAKYIWAH. For today’s Black History month fact, American Novelist, essayist, book editor, and college professor. She wrote the critically acclaimed Song of Solomon.
VINCENT: If you are interested in being a Team Manager for either the JV or Varsity Baseball team this Spring, then come to a mandatory meeting in Mr. Shemer’s room, Portable 7, during lunch on Friday, February 28th.
SAKYIWAH: International night will be held on Friday, March 13th and SGA would like people to audition to be a part of the show. Please sign up if you have a cultural performance you would like to showcase. Applications will be kept outside of room 161 and will be due on Friday, February 28th. Further audition details will be on the form.

SAKYIWAH: It’s that time of year again blazers!! Blair Interracial Dialogue Week! Come out next week, Monday, March 2nd through Friday, March 7th. Bring your friends and prepare to participate in diverse activities and discussions on various topics, including the Model Minority, Bias, and Privilege. These events will take place during lunch and after school! For more information checkout the flyers posted around the school! We look forward to seeing you there!
VINCENT: Blazers, the movie, “Selma”, will be premiering today in the auditorium during lunch. If you’re interested in the civil rights movement, Martin Luther King Jr, or simply African American empowerment, then make sure to go check it out!
