VIVIAN: And I’m VIVIAN. In the news, koalas are considered ‘functionally extinct’ after an Australia bushfire destroyed 80% of their habitat.
KANAYO: On Wednesday, November 27th from 10am to 7pm at the Hibachi San in the UMD Student Union Center, go out and buy a meal because 20% of the event sales will be donated to the SODA FUND INC. Show the digital version of the flyer on your phone, or the physical paper flyer to make sure your meal goes towards the fundraiser!
VIVIAN: Now, let’s go to Abby about the Sankofa auditions.
Sankofa ‘on-air’
Good morning blazers! My name is Abby and I’m one of your senior student directors for this year’s Sankofa show! For those of you who don’t know, Sankofa is our black history month show here at Blair. It is a time where all Blair students, regardless of race and culture, can come together to learn and celebrate black history and how that history affects us today. This is an experience, you don’t want to miss! Auditions for all actors, dancers, and poets are on December 3rd and 4th! Auditions for vocalists will be on December 10th. Audition materials are posted in the 140’s hallways across from room 141 and sign ups are posted outside of room 16. Hope to see you there blazers! Sankofa, emoja!
VIVIAN: If you are interested in participating in this year’s sankofa make sure to sign up and get involved blazers!
KANAYO: Blazers, the movie Fantastic Beast will be playing today during lunch in the auditorium! If you like fantasy or mysteries creatures then make sure to go watch it.

Es un momento en el que todos los estudiantes de Blair, independientemente de su raza y cultura, pueden reunirse para aprender y celebrar la historia negra y cómo esa historia nos afecta hoy. ¡Esta es una experiencia, no te la puedes perder! ¡Las audiciones para todos los actores, bailarines y poetas son el 3 y 4 de diciembre! Las audiciones para vocalistas serán el 10 de diciembre.
