Script:

Show Intro
SODA: BOO! Sorry if I scared you Blazers, but in case you didn’t know, today is October Halloweenth, 2016.
SHESH: We’ve got a spooktacular show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.
Pledge of Allegiance
SODA: Welcome to Infoflow. I’m Soda,
SHESH: And I’m Shesh. Today’s weather will be sunny with a chance of zombie uprisings, and/or large swarms of bats. Watch your step out there.
SODA: In the news, the Central London Employment Tribunal decided Friday that British Uber driver’s must be paid a guaranteed minimum wage and paid vacation. This is the first ruling to regulate the “gig economy” in the UK, an economy that new Prime Minister Theresa May has ordered new studies and regulations on.
SHESH: Hey Blazers, want to help save a life? Sign up for Blair’s November 21st blood drive. You must be at least 16 years old to participate. You can sign up at Blair Boulevard starting November 2nd until the 18th. Vampires need not apply.
SODA: Are you interested in foreign languages? Join foreign language club! They meet on Thursdays in room 260 twice a month and are looking for new members! Their first meeting will unfortunately NOT be on FRIDAY the 13th, but THURSDAY the 13th. We apologize to any of you spooky folks out there who are disappointed. Talk to Ms. Hamouch for more information.
SHESH: Is Calligraphy your calling? Want to have the most artistic tombstone out there? Join Chinese Calligraphy club! They meet in room 7 on the first Tuesday of every month. Contact Mr. Lee for more information.
SODA: Do you have paranormally wicked design skills? Want to gain experience and earn SSL hours at the same time? The Indian Spring Citizens Association and Safe Silver Spring are looking for a student who is able to work on their website a few hours a week. If you are interested in this opportunity, please see Mrs. Hiscock in room 130 for contact information.
SHESH: Starting today, Silver Chips will be collecting canned food or donations for their food drive! All donations will be given to the Capital Area Food Bank. Stop by room 165 during both lunches to drop off canned or non-perishable goods. Monetary donations are also welcome. No brains, rats or bones will be accepted. We mean it. Please help families in need this upcoming holiday season.
SODA: There will be a baseball information meeting on November 2nd in room 117 after ninth period. All those interested in trying out for baseball should attend. A note for you all: when we say bring a bat, we don’t mean the kind with wings. If you know anyone who is interested in trying out, please let them know.
SHESH: Interested in learning how to code in a fun and supportive environment? Want to be a mad scientist when you grow up? Join Girls Who Code! They meet in room 328 every Tuesday at 2:30 and 3:30.
SODA: Can you communicate with the dead? Understand what all those zombies are grumbling about? Linguists have studied bilinguals for a long time: people who speak English and Spanish or French and Arabic. But what about people who use not two spoken languages, but two sign languages? Dr. Deborah Chen Pickler from Gallaudet University says these individuals are the next big thing in linguistic research. See her explain why at Linguistics Club at 3:20-4:30 this Wednesday, November 2, in room 346. All are welcome!
SHESH: Tired of wearing old rags and stiff capes? Want to fit in with the hip human fashions? You’re in luck! Take a look at this video about Blair wear!
(Blair wear)
SODA: Be-WARE of how cool this spirit wear is!
