SEBASTIEN: And I’m SEBASTIEN. In the news, Amazon cut hundreds of jobs from its Seattle HQ due to overstaffing.

SHESH: CET Academic Programs, a study abroad organization known for academic excellence and superior program management, is offering 5 summer programs for high school and pre-college students. Each 3-4 week program has a specific theme and covers both content and language learning, all while earning 4 lower-division college credits! Join them, March 7th in room 157, during either lunch period, to chat with a CET representative and learn more! See Ms. Fillman for more details.

SEBASTIEN: Do you want to help out the community? Please consider donating your loose change to Sandwiches for The Needy Club. They meet once a month on a Thursday. They buy ingredients and make PB & J sandwiches. They then donate the sandwiches to Martha’s Table. They will include your name on all their donations and will give you a hand written thank you note. Even a PENNY counts! Please come to room 361 to drop off your donation in the big Pretzel Container! Include your name on all our donations.

SHESH: Hey Blazers! This month, SGA is collecting colored pencils, markers, and pens to Finish Sarcoma, and organization dedicated to providing assistance to sarcoma patients & their families. Please bring any donations to the SGA office, room 161.

SEBASTIEN: Hey Blazers! Interested in performing for International Night? They are looking for singers, dancers, people for the fashion show and more. Pick up a form outside of the SGA office, Room 161 and turn it in by this Friday, February 16th. Don’t miss out!

SHESH: The Asian Lit Club is reading the comic book volume “Ms. Marvel: No Normal” this month! They’ll be meeting next week. Check it out!

SEBASTIEN: There will be an interest meeting for allied softball today in room 266 during both lunch periods. This is a co-ed sport with no experience necessary. If you want to have fun, stay healthy, and earn a varsity letter, allied softball is for you!

SHESH: Students interested in trying out for the track & field team should come to either the 2:35 P.M or the 3:25 P.M interest meeting in Portable 2 tomorrow with Coach Zick! Be there!

SEBASTIEN: Attention all staff! You have been invited to the MCEA 10 Minute Meeting. Learn how you can help them work to get more respect and improve schools. The meeting is tomorrow, Thursday, February 15 in room 333 at 11:30 a.m. during pd 5 or at 12:20 pd 6.

SHESH: To all girls, far and wide! The world of computer science needs you. Join Code Girls, where they teach you code to create your own website in a fun and relaxed environment. There will be pizza, snacks, and field trips. Plus at the end you’ll get swag such as USBs, hardware, and cool microcontrollers to jump start your coding career.
