SHESH: And I’m SHESH. In the news the winter olympics, have begun!
SEBASTIEN: CET Academic Programs, a study abroad organization known for academic excellence and superior program management, is offering 5 summer programs for high school and pre-college students. Each 3-4 week program has a specific theme and covers both content and language learning, all while earning 4 lower-division college credits! Join them, March 7th in room 157, during either lunch period, to chat with a CET representative and learn more! See Ms. Fillman for more details.
SHESH: Silver Quill is hosting another open mic on February 14th! That’s Valentine’s Day, Blazers! Interested in performing poetry, music, or more? You can sign up at tinyurl.com/sqopenmicfeb, or by picking up a form outside the English office.
SEBASTIEN: Do you want to help out the community? Please consider donating your loose change to Sandwiches for The Needy Club. They meet once a month on a Thursday. They buy ingredients and make PB & J sandwiches. They then donate the sandwiches to Martha’s Table. They will include your name on all their donations and will give you a hand written thank you note. Even a PENNY counts! Please come to room 361 to drop off your donation in the big Pretzel Container! Include your name on all our donations.
SHESH: Science National Honor Society is selling teddy bears for Valentine’s Day! They’ll be in the SAC until tomorrow. Don’t miss out on your chance to show that special someone just how much you love them!
SEBASTIEN: If you feel an insatiable desire to have your special someone serenaded, buy an InToneNation Singing Valentine’s Gram! They will be sold on Blair boulevard today and tomorrow during both lunches. There’s no way to say “I’m Yours” to someone you love better that having an a capella group sing it in the middle of their class!
SHESH: The Spanish Honors Society will also be selling Candy Grams for Valentine’s Day. The sale ends today! Find a table near the elevators on Blair Blvd during both lunches. Each Candy Gram is $2. All proceeds will go to a nonprofit organization called La Providencia that supports orphans in Honduras.
SEBASTIEN: Do you want to buy your valentine a rose? Green Club will be selling them until tomorrow outside of the SAC. Don’t miss out on a great gift for a special someone.
