SHESH: And I’m SHESH. In the news, there has been a new found star dubbed “Icarus” it is the most distant star ever observed.
SEBASTIEN: Seniors all SSL forms must be turned in by tomorrow! You can turn SSL forms into the main office or in room 246. Any questions regarding SSL hours or forms, please see Mrs. Sanchez in room 246.
SHESH: Need SSL Hours? Here’s an opportunity! YMCA Silver Spring Healthy Kids Day is looking for volunteers. Join the Y on Saturday, April 21st from 10:30 to 1:30. There will be dancing, karate, aquatics, and more. To volunteer contact ryan.taylor@ymcadc.org or see Mrs. Sanchez in room 246.
SEBASTIEN: Join Women’s Advocacy Club! It meets every other Friday during 6th lunch in room 136. Email mbhswomensadvocacy@gmail.com for more information. Come to the next meeting on Friday, April 6 for discussion on gender roles. There will be snacks provided!
SHESH: Silver Spring Nursery School is looking for students to volunteer at Truck Touch. Students would help out from 9:30 – 2:30 on Saturday May 5th. Volunteers would help with set up and clean up and then during the event we have some fun roles to fill- arts and crafts, face painting, games, food tables, etc. Students should email or text Elizabeth Sauler to sign up- 202-380-5718 or saulerssns@yahoo.com
SEBASTIEN: Attention seniors — If you received a letter about the Language Proficiency Test, remember the deadline to register is tomorrow. The test will be given on Tuesday April 10 in the auditorium. See Ms. Galloway in room 170 if you have any questions.
SHESH: Attention Blazers! If you’ve signed up for “Clash of the Classes” you should have received an email about an informational meeting today at 2:40 or 3:25 in room 218. Be sure to bring one dollar!
SEBASTIEN: Blazers, do you want to run to be your class president? Class officer applications are released today! They are due on April, the 17th. Turn them into the SGA office to Alix, the SGA President, or to Mr. Zick in portable two. There will be a mandatory meeting on the 18th for all applicants. There will also be a town hall held the following week for students to ask questions.
