SEBASTIEN: Welcome to Infoflow, my name is SEBASTIEN.
SHESH: And I’m SHESH. In the news, a helicopter crashed into the New York’s East River yesterday, killing 5 passengers aboard. Only the pilot survived, and our condolences go out to the families of the victims.
SEBASTIEN: Calling all Juniors! Outdoor Education Counselors are needed in the month of April. There will be an information meeting on Friday, March 16th in room 246 for any Junior interested in earning SSL hours at Outdoor Ed.
SHESH: The Asian Lit Club is sponsoring a Book Drive for Friends of the Library until Wednesday, March 14. Come by their table on Blair Boulevard during both lunches to donate any children’s and young adult books.
SEBASTIEN: Hey Blazers, come celebrate Pi day with Blair Math on Wednesday March 14. Visit their table at lunch to participate in a pie eating contest, learn some math fun facts, and buy pies! PI hope you participate.
SHESH: Hey Blazers! Want to experience a night full of dancing, singing, club performances, and free food? Come out to international night on Friday, March 16th from 6:00-8:30 P.M. It’ll be a great way to experience all the different cultures at Blair so don’t miss out!
SEBASTIEN: There will be a full ensemble meeting at 2:45 this Thursday for everyone involved in Sankofa. Please bring leotards, costumes and any articles of clothing you still have. The meeting will last until 3:20.
SHESH: If you are interested in women’s rights, check out MoCo EmpowHER Women’s Leadership Organization for middle and high school students in Montgomery County. They are a new student-led organization committed to advocating for young women’s issues and providing leadership development opportunities for young women. Their next meeting is March 15 from 6-8 PM at Shady Grove Middle School. Email mocoempowher@gmail.com for more information.
