Script:

Show Intro
SODA: Look alive, Blazers! Today is Monday October 10th, 2016.
LUCAS: Ready for some cringe-inducing, stress-reducing, laugh-producing puns? So are we! But first, please stand for the pledge.
Pledge of Allegiance
SODA:  Welcome to Infoflow. I’m Soda.
LUCAS: And I’m Lucas. Today’s weather will be sunny with a high of 62 and a low of 44.
SODA: In the news, Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize this past friday for his efforts to end the decades long civil war going on in the Colombia. The war, which has lasted more than fifty years, has killed 220,000 people and displaced over 7 million more. But while being very popular outside of Colombia, his approval rating has slumped below 30 percent in the recent months and the latest peace referendum failed to pass. The current ceasefire agreement will expire on October 31.
LUCAS:  Do you want to be involved in helping the environment and making D.C. more beautiful? Do you want enough SSL hours to fill an inflatable kiddie pool? Join the Student Conservation Association’s 2017 DC Conservation Leadership Corps! They will have several work crews of teenagers working in parks across the DMV. The program runs one weekend a month from January through May of 2017, and will give you work skills, access to beautiful outdoor settings, lifelong friends, and most importantly, 100 high-quality, locally sourced SSL hours. If you have any questions, visit the webpage on the screen, (http://www.thesca.org/serve/program/washington-dc#clc) or see Mrs. Hiscock in room 130.
SODA: The Academies Fall Capstone Showcase will take place next Monday, October 10, in the Media Center during both lunches. Make sure to check out all the awesome projects!
LUCAS: Hey Blazers, there will be a run/walk 5k on October 16, 2016 at 7:00 a.m in solidarity for the families of the Long Branch apartment fire. All proceeds go to families impacted by the incident. SODA: Hey seniors! Stop by the superlative table in front of the SAC today during both lunches to fill out a senior superlative form. You can vote for your friends and yourself for a chance to win and be in the yearbook! If you fill out the form completely, you’ll get a piece of candy! Don’t forget to stop by!
LUCAS: Hey Blazers! The BLISS Online tutoring website is up and running! They have tutors staffed in math, social studies, science, English, Spanish, and French from 4 pm to 10 pm Sunday through Friday. If you want to get help from live tutors, go to tutors.mbhs.edu and log in with your student ID and computer password. You can also find this link on the Edline homepage and the MBHS website. Anyone can and should use this resource for homework and studying help. If you have any questions, please email blissonlinetutors@gmail.com. Remember Blazers, THIS and desperately emailing your teachers for a last minute grade bump are the best two ways to use the internet.
SODA: Seniors! Did you miss out on senior unity day? Would you like to be treated with a continental breakfast on college readiness day, October 19th?  You can purchase a senior shirt and sunglasses and get breakfast for only $20.00 at the attendance office. If you already have a senior shirt, then all you need to do is wear it on October 19 and head over  to the SAC at 7:45 am for a delicious continental breakfast.
LUCAS: Which continent?
SODA: I hope it’s Asia, so I can eat some TURKEY.
LUCAS: I get what you’re CHINA say. I hope it’s Africa, so I can have my meal TOGO. Now I know, you might be thinking, “Lucas, what do YEMEN?” But I’ve BENIN enough hotels to know that a continental breakfast is no joke. You won’t BELIZE some of the foods you can find there.
SODA: A big hand for our scriptwriting team, everyone.
LUCAS: You can also show off your class of 2017 pride by purchasing a senior lanyard at the attendance office for only $1.00
All proceeds go to the senior class.
SODA: Are you interested in being this year’s MC for spirit day? If so, email mbsga.blazers@gmail.com and don’t forget to bring that Blazer pride!

SODA: I’ve been hearing a lot about this “switched classrooms” thing. I’m wondering what exactly the classrooms are being switched with.
LUCAS: You’re in luck! Here’s a video that shows you exactly what switched classrooms are.
(switched classrooms pack)
SODA: That sure sounds like a great idea! Stay tuned tomorrow for episode two of the flipped classrooms series.
LUCAS:  Don’t forget to tag your creative content with the hashtag blairsilverstream, and check out our website to submit announcements and see all of our previous videos.
SODA: And that’s all we have for today! Remember, in the words of Lao Tzu, “Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom.”
LUCAS: And in the words of Lucas, “Watching infoflow is pretty cool.” Catch ya later, Blazers, and have a Cash Money Monday.
