KENIA: In the news, President Donald Trump has selected his nomination for the vacant seat at the Supreme Court. He selected 10th Circuit Judge Neil Gorsuch, expected to be similar to former Justice Scalia in his strict adherence to the constitution and interpretation of legal matters in accordance with the beliefs of our founding fathers. |
IYANU: The Learning Center for Young Children cooperative preschool is having its annual Winterfest Carnival on Saturday, February 4th from 10AM to 2PM. They are looking for high school students to help at the event and earn SSL hours! Volunteers will work with the preschoolers on crafts and carnival games. IYANU: The terrific Blazer Poms team has their county championship this Saturday, February 4 at 9:30am at Richard Montgomery High School. Come out and support the team. Tickets are available through the Athletic Director’s office across from the main entrance during both lunches all week. All tickets are $5. Beat the long lines and buy the tickets in advance. Go Poms! |
KENIA: Come to the February Montgomery County Regional General Assembly! It will be held on Wednesday, February 8, at Thomas S. Wootton High School. We are happy to have Wootton host for the first time in decades! Come to the SGA office in room 161 for a permission slip. |
IYANU: The Blair wrestling senior night is taking place at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 4th in the gymnasium. Blair will be battling Rockville for the division championship title, and our wrestlers would appreciate your support. |
KENIA: Now here’s a special message in honor of Black History Month. We’ll be featuring a series of interviews and performances on air Tuesday through Friday for the duration of February to highlight Blair’s black community. |
