TRUNK: Before we begin, we’d like to apologize for a remark made in yesterday’s show making light of the recent bomb threat at the school. We did not intend to make light of the incident, and we’re sorry to anyone who felt hurt or offended by the comment. Now, please stand for the pledge.

IYANU: In the news, an unidentified civilian is in critical condition after being shot during a Charlotte, North Carolina protest over the death of Charlotte Resident Keith Scott, who was shot and killed by Police last Tuesday.
TRUNK: Do you like dancing, and have a tolerance for heat and humidity that would allow you to live in The Amazon Rainforest? You’re in luck! Homecoming is coming on October 22nd, 2016. Tickets are on sale from October 4th through October 14th during both lunches. Tickets are $20 per student, but you may not attend if you have obligations! Go to the main office before or after school to clear your obligations. Tickets are not on sale after school. Tickets are also available online for $20.00. Go to the Blair website for more information. The homecoming tickets are not refundable online or at school. Put it on your calendar, we hope to see you there!
IYANU: Like smartphones? Like programming? Like making mad stacks? Come to Smartphone Programming Club, where you’ll learn to design real apps that you can put on college applications and enter in competitions to potentially earn hundreds of dollars. They meet every other Friday in Room 314, from 3 to 6 PM. The first meeting is September 23rd. See you there!

Do you want to delve into the origins of species and the ways that different populations of animals and plants are woven by environmental pressures and eons of time into the incandescent tapestry of nature? TRUNK: Attention anyone interested in wrestling! This announcement is for you, so heim-LISTEN up! Wrestling club will be every Tuesday from 3 – 5pm in the wrestling room. See Ms. Boule if you have any questions.
IYANU: Today, make sure you wear a Hawaiian shirt, Lei, or other tropical gear to school and to the football game. Leis and candy will be given out to students wearing Hawaiian Shirts at the game
.TRUNK: Intonation, Blair’s student run a capella group, is holding auditions, and they want any and all of you to go try out! They’re looking for people who can sing soprano, tenor, and bass, and especially for beatboxers. All you have to do is groove on down to room 16 during 5th or 6th lunch any day from Tuesday the 27th through Friday the 30th and sing a song that shows off your pipes! No signup is required, and anyone can try out! If you’ve got a love of singing, but an aversion to musical instruments, this is the environment for you.
IYANU: Attention all students! Especially juniors and seniors! The PTSA in conjunction with the Counseling Department is hosting its annual College Admissions Panel this coming Monday, September 26th at 7:00pm in the auditorium. In this event you can hear directly from the college admissions representatives the process for applying. They will be taking questions from the audience so you can ask specific questions that you may have about how to apply to college.
TRUNK: Hey Blazers! Do you want to be featured in the first issue of Silver Chips this year? Submit a personal column of 400-700 words about anything to do with yourself, school, or any personal anecdotes.
