ADAN: and I’m Adan. Former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernandez has been extradited to the United States to face drug trafficking and weapons charges. Prosecutors allege that he received millions of dollars from drug cartels that he then used to fund his campaign.	ADAN: Y yo soy Adan. ANDREA: The Inter-American Commision on Human Rights called on the government of El Savador to respect human rights after a state of emergency was declared. 14,000 suspected gang members were arrested with the commission alleging that many of the detentions have been done illegally and through the use of violence. ANDREA: April is Deaf History Month, and a time to recognize the many contributions of Deaf and hard of Hearing people.  The American Sign Language Honor society, made possible by the Level 3 ASL class here at Blair now presents a fun Deaf history fact to share. ADAN: The SGA is holding a fundraiser this week, ending on Friday, April 29th. Donations go to Doctors Without Borders and their efforts to support Ukraine and its people. ANDREA: There will be a meeting for anyone interested in trying out for the Blair Field Hockey program next fall during the first half of lunch on Friday, April 29 in Room 263. Make sure to see Coach Lusby prior to the meeting if you cannot attend. ADAN: This week is Holocaust Remembrance Week, and Blair is having a series of events dedicated to learning about the Holocaust, the legacy of genocide, and Antisemitism. An exhibit entitled “Early Warning Signs-1938” about the rise of Nazism in pre-war Germany will be available for students to experience in the Media Center for the rest of the week. Today a book discussion of the newly banned book, “Maus,” will take place in the Media Center. On Thursday and Friday “The Book Thief” will be shown in the Media Center and during those lunches, students are invited to write letters to Maryland Representative and Senators in a day of action led by Amnesty International and We the East Clubs in support of refugee and migrant rights. The letter writing campaign will occur in Blair Blvd opposite the Media Center, in front of the staff courtyard.	ADAN: Esta semana es la Semana del Recuerdo del Holocausto, y Blair está organizando una serie de eventos dedicados a aprender sobre el Holocausto, el legado del genecidio y el antisemitismo.
