| CELESTE: And I’m Celeste. Pfizer has begun testing a new covid-19 vaccine specifically for the omicron variant. These trials will test the safety, tolerability, and immune response compared to the original vaccine. |
| GEO: In Fairfax County, officials have implemented a new rule which states that any students who refuse to comply with the mask mandate will be excluded from in person learning after reminders and parent contact fails. So far MCPS has not announced any such ruling. |
| CELESTE: The SAT will move to a digital format starting in 2024 in the US and next year internationally. This move will make the test an hour shorter from three to two. |

| CELESTE: Any juniors or seniors interested in completing an Academy Capstone Project this spring should plan to attend the Capstone information meeting on Wednesday, February 2nd in room 236 at the start of lunch. Capstone projects look great on a college resume and students earn an Academy certificate and cords for graduation! Message the email below [Beth_S_Sanchez@mcpsmd.org] with any questions. |
| GEO: There will be an informational meeting for all new and returning lacrosse players for the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams this Friday January 28th at lunch in room 144. If you plan on playing this spring, this is an important meeting to discuss off season workouts, pre-season schedule, team gear, and the registration process. Make plans to be there!!! |
