HUNTER: And I’m HUNTER. Happy seasons Thursday, Blazers. And seniors, have a wonderful senior unity day!
ALANNA: To those who were interested in the sailing team and emailed, there was an issue with the email and it’s no longer accessible. Due to this issue, the team is full and they can’t accept anyone. Sorry Blazers, that ship has officially sailed. There is a spring season, so be on the lookout for that, and email the new and properly functioning email address mbhs.sail@gmail.com
HUNTER: Blazers do you want to participate in student led workshops, or go on field trips throughout the school year? If you said yes go to the interest meeting on October the 4th! They will talk about your identity and you can see other students point of views on any topic! Again, it’s on October the 4th after school in room 138!
ALANNA: Are you interested in learning about foreign relations? What about gaining a knowledge of current events? How about improving your public speaking skills and practicing diplomacy? Foreign your information go to Room 147 after school on Tuesday, September 25th to attend this year’s’ first Model UN meeting! Please email blairmun@gmail.com with any questions.
HUNTER: Are you interested in making a direct impact in your community? Do you want to learn more about city government? Do you live in Takoma Park? If you answered yes to these questions, then you should apply for the Takoma Park Youth Council! Applications for the Council are open until this Sunday, September 30th, so be sure to get it done! To learn more, email tkpkyouthcouncil@takomaparkmd.gov.
ALANNA: Buy your blair wear on blair blvd during both lunches on Friday, September 28th It’ll be one of your last chances to buy before everything’s sold out!
HUNTER: Hello, Blazers. Blood Drive is near! The Blood Drive is a charitable event held by the SGA that encourages students to donate blood. This year’s event will take place on October 11th in the small gym. You must be 16 or older to donate. Approval slips and information about the Blood Drive will be available until October 4th at Blair Boulevard during both lunches. Deadline for forms are October 5th.
Remember you’re someone’s type! So drive yourself down and donate!
