KENIA: And I’m KENIA. In the news SpaceX launched its Falcon heavy rocket with Elon Musk’s car as the payload on Tuesday. They successfully landed the two side cores and sent Elon’s car into heliocentric orbit. It is the first car in space!
GUY: Hey Blazers! Are you interested in being a delegate to elect the top two candidates for the next SMOB? If so email mbsga.blazers@gmail.com.
KENIA: There will be a meeting for students interested in performing as members of the pit orchestra for the Spring Musical. They will meet in Room 14 at 3:30pm on Monday, February 12 to take a look at the music and discuss the rehearsal and performance schedule. Orchestration calls for Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, and most wind instruments. If you have any questions ahead of the meeting, speak to Mr. Oldham in Room 14.
GUY: Blazers, are you interested in performing for International Night? We are looking for singers, dancers, people for the fashion show and more. Pick up a form outside Room 161 and turn it in by February 16th. Don’t miss out!
KENIA: The Spanish Honors Society will also be selling Candy Grams for Valentine’s Day. The sale ends on Monday, February 12. In that time you will find a table near the elevators on Blair Blvd during both lunches. Each Candy Grams is $2. All proceeds will go to a nonprofit organization called La Providencia that supports orphans in Honduras.
GUY: Do you want to help out the community? Please consider donating your loose change to Sandwiches for The Needy Club. They meet once a month on a Thursday. They buy ingredients and make PB & J sandwiches. They then donate the sandwiches to Martha’s Table. They will include your name on all their donations and will give you a hand written thank you note. Even a PENNY counts! Please come to room 361 to drop off your donation in the big Pretzel Container! Include your name on all our donations.
KENIA: Valentine’s day is coming up and Blair’s Key Club is here to help you get your special someone a special something. They’re selling Candy Grams for $1.50 on Blair Blvd during both lunches. When you buy a Gram, you will be getting a handmade rose with loving candy. They will be selling from now through the 13th, so get yours today!
GUY: Do you want to buy your valentine a rose? Green Club will be selling them the rest of the week until the 13th outside of the SAC. Don’t miss out on a great gift for a special someone.
KENIA: Just in case you don’t have enough options for what to buy your valentine…Science National Honor Society is selling teddy bears for Valentine’s Day! They’ll be in the SAC from this Thursday until Tuesday the 13th. Don’t miss out on your chance to show that special someone just how much you love them!
