GUY: My last name is LINGANI, not linguini. Anyway, today we’re going to learn about pennies for patients and Sankofa. Now, please stand for the pledge.

KENIA: And I’m KENIA. Gold bars are valuable, but SILVER LOGS are even better. Silverlogue is looking for any amazing photos for the yearbook. Send any high quality pictures of yourself, other Blazers, or the Blair community from any time this year or even last summer to mbhs.silverlogue@gmail.com. The pictures can range from sports photos to candids to anything else that looks awesome.
GUY: Valentine’s day is coming up and Blair’s Key Club is making sure you don’t forget to get your special someone a special something. They’re selling Candy Grams that will be sold for $1.50 on Blair Blvd during both lunches. When you buy a Gram, you will be getting a handmade rose with loving candy. They will be selling from now through the 13th, so get yours today!
GUY: Attention all girls interested in playing lacrosse this spring. There will be a mandatory meeting in room 245 tomorrow, February 8th during 5th and 6th period. See Mr. Horne in 141 or Ms. Lusby in 238 if you are unable to attend.
KENIA: The Yearbook Spanish Staff is accepting new applicants for the 2018-2019 school year! If you are interested in joining the yearbook staff and are fluent in Spanish, pick up an application outside of room 241. If you have any questions, come to room 241 during 5th period to ask any questions. This is a great opportunity so don’t miss out!
GUY: There will be a meeting for students interested in performing as members of the pit orchestra that accompanies the Spring Musical. They will meet in Room 14 at 3:30pm on Monday, February 12 to take a look at the music and discuss the rehearsal and performance schedule. Orchestration calls for Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, and most wind instruments. If you have any questions ahead of the meeting, speak to Mr. Oldham in Room 14.
KENIA: Blazers, are you interested in performing for International Night? We are looking for singers, dancers, people for the fashion show and more. Pick up a form outside of the SGA office, Room 161 and turn it in by February 16th. Don’t miss out!
GUY: The Spanish Honors Society will also be selling Candy Grams for Valentine’s Day. The sale ends on Monday, February 12. In that time you will find a table near the elevators on Blair Blvd during both lunches. Each Candy Grams is $2. All proceeds will go to a nonprofit organization called La Providencia that supports orphans in Honduras.
KENIA: Sophomores, if you want to get involved with your class and make change within Blair High school, then join sophomore class council, meetings are every other wednesday in rom 251.
GUY: Just in case you don’t have enough options for what to buy your valentine…Science National Honor Society is selling teddy bears for Valentine’s Day! They’ll be in the SAC from this Thursday until Tuesday the 13th. Don’t miss out on your chance to show that special someone just how much you love them!

GUY: Blazers! Did you know you can buy tickets at school to see Sankofa? All you have to do is visit Ms. Fuss, it’s $7 per student and $10 for adults! It sells out super quickly, so get your tickets soon! The show will be this Friday and Saturday, the 9th and 10th. In case you missed it last time, here’s a promo for the upcoming show.
