SAM: Welcome to Infoflow, my name is SAM.
SERENA: And I’m SERENA. In the news, A Virginia mother is facing up to 5 years of prison for recording her daughter’s bullies. When her daughter had told her about her bullies at school, she talked to the administration but nothing was done, so she took matters into her own hands and put a recorder into her child’s backpack, hoping to catch the bullies in the act.
SAM: Silver Chips is having a silent auction at Lincoln’s BBQ in downtown silver spring on December 4th. They are looking for people to contact them with connections they can use to get item donations for the auction. Contact Brenna at silverchips.business@gmail.com with any possible contributions or questions.
SERENA: For all students interested in CoEd volleyball, there will be an interest meeting today at 3:30 in room 233. For more information, please see Mr. Shiotani in the math office.
SAM: Seniors! Need money for college? Applying for federal aid will let you know how much money you might receive. Go to www.fafsa.gov or stop by the Career Center during lunch. Specialists are there every Tuesday and Thursday. Calculations are based on family and student income earned in 2016.
SERENA: Attention Blazers. The Muslim Students Association is now in room 138 during periods 6th and 9th for prayer.
SAM: Do you need SSL hours? Latin needs you. They are hosting the Certamen Saturnalium on December 9th. They need posters now and students to do all sorts of odd jobs to prepare for the event here at Blair. Interested? Please sign up with Mr. Johnson in room 166 or online at tinyurl.com/blaircert.
SERENA: Are you interested in playing JV Lacrosse at Blair this spring? Only 70 Days until the fun begins! There will be an interest and information meeting tomorrow in room 119 at 2:45 pm. This is chance to meet Mr. Burnell, JV head coach, and learn about the off-season lifting program, conditioning , and key aspects of our offense and defense. Players of all skill levels including 1st timers are encouraged to come out and learn about the great game of lacrosse!
SAM: The Asian Lit Club will be meeting tomorrow in room 157 after 9th period the discuss Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. Food will be provided. Go check it out!
