SEBASTIEN: And I’m SEBASTIEN. Today in the news, a man in Puerto Rico has been filming people to let their relatives know that they’re okay after hurricane Maria.
KENIA: Hey Blazers! Homecoming is right around the corner and ticket sales will be in the concession stand near the main office starting today until October 13th. Make sure you have your student ID and all your obligations have been paid off to purchase a ticket.
SEBASTIAN: Junior Homecoming Court applications are needed! Please submit an application to the SGA office (Room 161) by Thursday, October 5th, 2017. Applications are available at the SGA office. Sign up and show some junior class pride!
KENIA: Hey Blazers! Don’t forget to vote for homecoming court. In order to promote inclusivity, Blair has decided to allow students to choose their royal title once they are crowned to respect gender and pronoun preferences. Original grade- based names are only available to the grade, so King and Queen are only available to seniors. The royal titles will be selected upon the candidate’s victory. In addition, each voter will vote for two candidates regardless of gender and the top two winners will be crowned.
Applications are due on Thursday, October 5th, and can be found outside of room 161.
SEBASTIEN: Hey Blazers! Looking for a lunch buddy, come to the Sit With Us event this Tuesday! More details are listed in the app.
