Show Intro
IYANU: Hey there, Blazers. Today is Friday, March 3rd, 2017.
TRUNK: We’ve got a magical show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.
Pledge of Allegiance
TRUNK: Welcome back to Infoflow! I’m Trunk.
IYANU: And I’m Iyanu. Remember, Blazers, today is a half day in preparation for interim reports. You can check your agenda book for the half day class schedule.
TRUNK: Today in the news, retired neurosurgeon and former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson has been confirmed as secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development by a vote of 58 to 41.
IYANU: Blazers, you may have felt the abnormal amount of warm last week. Just know that our climate is changing and its effects will magnify so many problems we are already facing. Do you choose to accept this reality, or do you want to be a part of the solution? Head out to the Blair Climate Summit meeting on Monday, March 6th during either lunch in Room 331. In the words of Dr. Seuss, UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.
TRUNK: Student volunteers are needed to help with the Flora Singer Elementary School Science Fair on Saturday, March 18th.  Students are welcome to go on Friday, March 17th from 7 to 8 pm to help setup or help during the fair on Saturday from 9 to 1 pm. If interested, please sign up at the link down below, (https://tinyurl.com/jjgcxrq) or email Sunny Nieh at sunnynieh@gmail.com for more information.
IYANU: Sophomores Claire Hibbeln, Anna Brookes, and Aline Marra  made a short documentary that has been nominated for the C-SPAN Student Cam “Fan favorite” award, but they need your vote to win. You can watch their documentary and vote for Blair at www.studentcam.org!
TRUNK: The Jewish Culture Club is running a toiletry drive! Donate new and unused toiletries to those in need. Anything from deodorant and shampoo to sanitary napkins, tampons, toothbrushes and mouthwash. There will be a collection box in room 164 and other clearly labeled boxes can be found around the school! Help out your community and donate!
IYANU: Attention 11th graders! Mrs. Hiscock is looking for 18 interested 11th grade students who would like to serve as outdoor education counselors for Silver Spring International Middle School during the month of May. If you are interested in this opportunity, please pick up a permission packet from room 130 today! This opportunity is first come, first serve! Don’t delay and pick up your permission packet today!
TRUNK: And now we go to Catherine with this week’s weather.

TRUNK: ICE job, Catherine.
IYANU: Now let’s take a look at Blair’s building services team.
