SODA: The weather today will be cloudy with a high of 43 degrees and a low of 30. |
SEBASTIEN: In the news, Donald Trump has recently announced he will not be receiving daily briefings, saying he, quote, “is, like, really smart.” He did, however, assure the public his generals and vice president would receive the daily briefings. |
SODA: The National English Honor Society will meeting in room 157 during both lunches on December 13. Please bring your lunch and don’t forget to give Ms. Fillman your membership fees if you haven’t done so already. See you there! |
SEBASTIEN: Hey Blazers! Thursday December 15, Blair Congress will be held from 3-4PM in the media center. Everyone is welcomed to come out and voice their opinions or ideas. We hope to see you there! |
SODA: A new opportunity has become available for students to earn SSL hours right in downtown Silver Spring! The library has started a homework help program for elementary students on Thursdays from 4-8pm. They are looking for high school tutors to assist students with all subjects. This is a great opportunity for those interested in the field of education! If you are interested in more information, please see Mrs. Hiscock in room 130. (Silver Spring Library) |
SEBASTIEN: IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIIIIIME, OF THE YEAR!!! That’s right, tonight at 7pm in the auditorium, get Festive for FREE to the sounds of Blair’s Guitar and Choral Ensembles. We’ll have Christmas cookies available beforehand, and then you’ll be treated to the sounds of the all-new Blair Honors Chamber Singers, the newly independent Blair Show Choir, Blair’s chorus of a hundred, and the debut of rock star Mr. Mercado as director of Guitar activities at Blair. That’s this Today at 7, in the auditorium. Chorus & Guitar concert – get off your throne of lies and join us! |
SODA: Rolling Terrace Elementary School needs your help hosting a Community dinner. Student volunteers are needed to help set up the room, serve food, clean up, mingle with the families and help facilitate discussions. RTES serves a diverse community, and would really love to have a few bilingual volunteers who speak Amharic, French, or Spanish. The community dinner will be held at Rolling Terrace Elementary School from 5:30 to 8:45 PM on Thursday, December 15th. Contact Mrs. Hanak or Mrs. Hiscock in room 130 if you would like to help as a list of volunteers will need to be generated beforehand. SSL hours will be granted to any Montgomery Blair students who help out with the event. |
SEBASTIEN: Go check out the first collaboration between Blair’s finest ceramists and its talented gardeners. Pick out a custom-made pot and choose your favorite culinary herbs to go inside. Makes a great, practical holiday gift, besides being artisanal and local. Also makes a great present for yourself. Prices range according to each piece and size of plant.
