Script:

Show Intro
KENIA: Hey there, Blazers. Today is Tuesday, December 6th, 2016.
TRUNK: We’ve got another show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.
Pledge of Allegiance
KENIA: Welcome to Infoflow. I’m KENIA,
TRUNK: And I’m Trunk. The weather today will be rainy with a low of 37 degrees and a high of 40. Hawaii, however, is looking to have some snowy days coming up and I, for one, am jealous.
KENIA: In the news, the US Army Corps of Engineers has blocked a key permit for the Dakota Access Pipeline and ordered that a full environmental report be completed about the pipeline’s possible effects. This marks an important victory for Native American and environmental activists who have been fighting the pipeline.
TRUNK: A new opportunity has become available for students to earn SSL hours right in downtown Silver Spring! The library has started a homework help program for elementary students on Thursdays from 4-8pm. They are looking for high school tutors to assist students with all subjects. This is a great opportunity for those interested in the field of education! If you are interested in more information, please see Mrs. Hiscock in room 130.
KENIA: Regardless of your gender, the DoSomething club needs your help! They are continuing the drive called Power to the Period, where they collect unopened packages of feminine products which will be donated to a local homeless shelter here in Silver Spring. Look out for their designated boxes in the main office where anyone can drop their packages in. These products can be of any size, color and brand. This drive will be from November 14 to December 16 so there will be time to help out in anyway you can. Email dosomething.blair@gmail.com for more information.
TRUNK: Would you like to help spread a little holiday cheer this season? How about doing it and earning SSL hours at the same time? The Kiwanis Club of Montgomery Village is looking for students to assist with their annual holiday gift wrapping which will take place November 19th-December 31st at Child’s Play in Congressional Plaza of Rockville. To sign up visit, http://bit.ly/giftkiwanis or call Janet Lugenbeel at 301-530-1165 with questions.
KENIA: The theme of this year’s Silver Quill Magazine is “Origins”. Tell us where you come from, what you’ve been through or where you’re going through any form of art- writing, music, photography, sculpture, painting, collage, whatever else you can come up with! Submissions don’t have to strictly adhere to the theme and can be in any language! Get your work published by sending it to silverquillmag@gmail.com!
TRUNK: Hey Blazers, If you’re interested in musicals, and can’t wait to get started, think about Sankofa.

KENIA: Blazers, are you interested in a change from traditional classroom learning? You may be interested in programs at Thomas Edison High School of Technology. Here’s what they have to say.

KENIA: If you’re interested in taking a tour of Edison, you can talk to your counselor. The first priority deadline for submitting a scholar profile for enrollment in one of the programs is January 15th, 2016. And that’s all we have for today, Blazers!
TRUNK: Don’t forget to tag your creative content with the hashtag blairsilverstream, and check out our website to submit announcements and see all of our previous videos. Have a “too much fun” Tuesday, Blazers.
