Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said that meetings between the campaign and the kremlin were “normal practice.”
SODA: The SGA’s food drive will take place from today, November 9th to the 21st. Don’t forget to bring in your canned goods! This excludes products as alcohol, homemade items, repackaged foods, unlabeled or open containers, or damaged goods. Help make a difference in our community and donate.
TRUNK: Got feedback about homecoming? If so, come to the table on Blair Boulevard from today to the 11th to take a survey! See you there!
SODA: There will be an informational girl’s junior varsity and varsity lacrosse meeting held on Friday, November 11th in room 245 during both lunches, as well as at 2:30pm, and 3:20pm. See Mr. Horne in room 245 or Ms. Lusby in the Math office if you are unable to attend.
SODA: Attention seniors! Today and tomorrow, Silverlogue staff members will be in the SAC to help you choose the senior portrait that you want to go into the yearbook. If you miss this opportunity, and you have not yet chosen your portrait, don’t worry.  Our staff members will choose the best for you. Look for our table in the SAC during 5th and 6th period lunches
TRUNK: Are you an LGBTQ+ student at Blair? Are you having trouble with coming out to your parents or friends? Are you not sure whether coming out of the closet is better than staying in? You aren’t alone. GSA is having a coming out workshop! The workshop will be run by Smyal, an LGBTQ+ youth empowerment organization. If you don’t think coming out is the best idea, you should still come to the meeting. This workshop is designed to help students both closeted and out to their parents or friends. The meeting will take place at 2:30 in room 168 on Wednesday, November 16th.
SODA: Do you like food? Do you like helping out clubs here at Blair? Support the Science Olympiad team on Tuesday, November 15th at the four corners Chipotle from 5-9. Before you check out, make sure you let the cashier know you are with the Montgomery Blair Science Olympiad fundraiser.
TRUNK: If you are interested in trying out for a winter sport, you must hand in all of your forms to the athletics department at clearance. Clearance happens on Monday, November 14 and Tuesday, November 15 during both lunches and right after school at the indoor concession stand.  Bring all of your completed forms and get a clearance sheet that allows you to try out!
SODA: Are you interested in learning more about a career at teaching? Attend a field trip to the University of Maryland on Friday, December 2nd. You will get a tour of the campus, and meet with faculty and staff at the College of Education, to learn what their program has to offer.  See Mrs. Jacobs Ivey in Room 142 for details and permission slips. First come, first served with the availability.
TRUNK: Blazers, this is a tumultuous time in America. And whoever you supported for the presidency, or whatever your views on the days to come, it’s important to share our perspectives on issues like race, class, policing, and the government. Next week is Blair’s interracial dialogue, which is in its second year.
SODA: They will meet every day next week, from 2:30-4:00 PM, in rooms 162, 164, 157, Blair students from diverse backgrounds will be discussing race issues in society, at Blair, and around the world. And yes, they’ll discuss the elections. Over 100 people attended last year, and this dialogue is a powerful way to make your voice heard. So if you have something to say, be there.
