Show Intro
SHESH: Hello, Blazers! Today is Friday, September 30th.
SODA: Before we engage you in the infoflow experience, please stand for the pledge.
Pledge of Allegiance
SHESH:  Welcome to Infoflow. I’m Shesh,
SODA: And I’m Soda, here with the most accurate weather prediction system short of actually looking out the window. Keep your raincoats on, because today will be a 60 percent chance of rain.
SHESH: In the news, Monday’s presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump has been judged the most-watched presidential debate in history. Of course, it helps that television has only been around for about 60 years, and the presidents have been around for hundreds.
SODA: Blazers! The BLISS Online tutoring website is now available to all students! If you need help with homework, go to tutors.mbhs.edu to chat with online tutors. Use your student ID# and school password to log on. Tutors will be available from 4 to 10 PM on every day except Saturday. If you have any questions, feel free to email them at blissonlinetutors@gmail.com.
SHESH: The deadline for submitting an application to Mu Alpha Theta honor society is Thursday, October 6th. If you’ve completed Algebra 2 and have a 3.0 math GPA, you’re eligible to join! Applications are still available on Ms. Hsu’s desk in 238.
SODA: Science National Honors Society is hosting Computer Science Day at Blair TODAY from 1:00 to 3:30! There will be guest speakers from industry, and students will learn about topics such as cybersecurity, microcontrollers, and smartphone programming! Contact snhs.mbhs@gmail.com for more details!
SHESH:  Silver Spring Day School is looking for student volunteers to help them on Saturday, October 22nd, from 10:30am – 2:30pm at their annual Octoberfest.  It will take place at Colesville Presbyterian Church, located at 12800 New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring.  Students will earn a total of 4 SSL hours for their service! Interested students will need to sign up online at the link below.  Please see Mrs. Hiscock in room 130 with any questions!
SHESH: Attention students who served as an outdoor ed counselor last week! Please make sure to complete a SSL activity form and turn into Mrs. Hiscock in room 130 to have your hours count. Your hours are not automatically applied for going and you certainly do not want to give up these 30!
SODA: Are you interested in writing, art, or music? Want to work on one of Blair’s publications? Do you want to help run Blair’s open mics? Join Silver Quill! Blair’s literary arts magazine! No experience is required, just show up in room 141 every Tuesday after ninth period. Talk to Mrs Mathews or email silverquillmag@gmail.com for more details.
SHESH: A yearbook is one of the best ways to preserve your high school experience. Let’s hear from the people who make Blair’s!
(yearbook pack)
SODA: Make sure to BOOK it and order your yearbook today!
SHESH: Blazers, are you tired of seeing our faces? I didn’t think so. But if you want to to leave your own mark on the show, you should, tag any of your creative content with #blairsilverstream, and check our submissions page on our website to get your info in our flow.
SODA:  And that’s all we have for today! Enjoy your half of a Friday blazers, and have a delightful long weekend
