The father of an Indiana toddler is facing felony charges of neglect after his toddler was seen by neighbors waving a gun around and pulling the trigger. Neighbors also shared surveillance footage of the toddler waving the gun around with the police. SIENA: The world’s oldest person, born in 1904 died on Wednesday at age 118. Sister Andre, a French nun who devoted her life to religious service was the world’s oldest known living person at the time of her death. MARISA: Breakdancing has been confirmed as the newest sport for the 2024 Olympics. After breakdancing lost popularity in the US, it moved to international levels. America became reinspired with the direction other countries had taken after the sport became far more popular again. In International News, At least 68 people died on Monday in Nepal when a passenger plane crashed and broke into three large pieces while trying to land in the city of Pokhara, officials said. Seventy-two people were on board. The twin-engine propeller model manufactured more than 15 years ago went down on a roughly 30-minute flight from the capital, Kathmandu. MARISA: On Saturday, January 28th, MCPS and Montgomery Goes Purple will be hosting a Family Forum on fentanyl and life-saving narcan from 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning at Clarksburg High School. Panelists will share important information on the dangers of fentanyl, preventative tools for students, and resources for treatment when needed. SIENA: This spring MCPS will elect a new Student Member of the Board. During a nominating convention, two finalists will be chosen from a field of about twenty candidates. Blair has 16 delegates to the convention. If you are interested in being a delegate and voting on who the two finalists for SMOB will be, look for QR codes around Blair Blvd and outside the SGA office.
