The MCPS school board is scheduled to vote on Thursday on a resolution that would treat snow days as school days, similar to the snow day virtual learning approach that was adopted in the 2021-22 school year. The resolution requires Montgomery County schools to decide by noon the day prior whether to take a virtual learning day with an inclement weather forecast. SIENA: Lisa Marie Presley, singer and daughter of Elvis Presley, has died at 54. She was the only daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, and her death was announced in a statement by her mother hours after Ms. Presley was taken to the hospital from her home. Paramedics were dispatched to her home following a report of a woman in full cardiac arrest. MARISA:The 80th Golden Globes happened last week with notable attendees being Margot Robbie, Rihana, and Jenna Ortega. Austin Butler won best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture for his performance in Elvis, and Angela Bassett won best performance by an actress in a supporting role in any motion picture for her role as Ramonda in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
