GUY: Hello Blazers! Today is Monday, October 9th, 2017. Happy National Indigenous People’s Day!
CARLOS: Today’s spirit day is Color Mash! I hope you’re all looking colorful. Now, please stand for the pledge.
Pledge of Allegiance
CARLOS: Welcome to Infoflow! My name is CARLOS.
GUY: And I’m GUY. Do you want SSL hours? Do you love to decorate? Next Wednesday each class will be decorating a hallway with their own theme. If you’re a freshman, your theme is PBS. If you’re a sophomore, your theme is Nickelodeon. If you’re a junior, your theme is Disney. And if you’re a senior, your theme is Cartoon Network. Come decorate to support your class! Yeah, that way. I might just deck out the hallway!
CARLOS: College Readiness Day is Wednesday, October 11th! Don’t forget to bring your own calculator to the test room! If you have any questions, please see Ms. Davis in the math department in room 238. You can also treat yourself to lunch after testing! There will be slices of pizza for $2, empanadas for $2, and drinks for $1. Food will be sold at the football stadium concession stand during lunch.  Proceeds support the Instrumental Music Program at Blair, so make sure to get lots of tasty food!
GUY: Attention W.E.B. DuBois Honor Society members, the organization will meet on Tuesday, October 17th at 2:30pm in the Career Center. Please email or see Dr. Howard if you are not able to attend the meeting.
CARLOS: Hey Seniors! If you missed your senior picture date, yearbook will be holding retakes on October 9th, 10th, and 11th in the auditorium and October 12th in the wrestling room throughout the day. Students will be pulled from class today and tomorrow, but will need to make their way to the auditorium on Wednesday.
GUY: Takoma Park City Council candidate Joe Edgell will be visiting Blair on Wednesday, October 11. Come to Room 164 after 9th period to meet and talk politics with a prominent prospective legislator. There will be snacks!
CARLOS: In preparation for the first issue of SilverChips this year, we’ll be running videos about stories you can expect to see in the paper. Here’s Noah, talking about his article on Senator Ben Cardin’s visit to Blair.
