GUY: And I’m GUY. In the news Google has removed the “view image” option from Google Images to make pictures more difficult to steal.
JAKE: Do you love making videos? Do you want to improve your skills in interviewing, filming, and editing? Join Silver Chips Online’s Video Staff! Their video section is fairly new, so you will have lots of freedom to shape a new section of the publication with your awesome ideas! GUY: Silver Chips Online is calling all single-and-looking Blazers! If you’re a single Blazer without love this Valentine’s Day season, fill out an application for LoveSCOpe! LoveSCOpe sets Blazers up on free blind dates and publishes their experience on Silver Chips Online. Applications can be found at silverchips.mbhs.edu. It could be your only SCOpe!
JAKE: Do you want to win an Amazon Echo Dot? Donate to the Science National Honor Society Book Drive for a chance to win! Each donated science book, or a cash donation, earns you a raffle ticket. All donations will help local elementary school libraries. Come by their table in the SAC during lunch from February 21 to the 28th!
GUY: VR Club is starting up again for the Spring Semester! They meet on tuesdays in room 314 after school, and they’re debuting some cool new tech like an Oculus Rift. Email mbhs.vr@gmail.com for more info.
JAKE: Attention all students interested in a lunch time soccer tournament! There will be a lunchtime soccer tournament for each lunch period starting on February 26. It will run for 4 weeks and all games will be in the gym. Each team must have 6 – 8 players and all have the same lunch period. An application must be filled out by each team and each team must attend a meeting in order to play. Pick up an application from Ms. Boule in the Athletics Office during lunch. No late applications will be allowed.
GUY: To all girls, far and wide! The world of computer science needs you. Join Code Girls, where they teach you code to create your own website in a fun and relaxed environment. There will be pizza, food, and snacks! And field trips. Plus in the end you’ll get swag such as USBs, hardware, and cool microcontrollers to jump start your coding career.
