GUY: Hello Blazers! Today is Wednesday, September 20th, 2017. Happy National String Cheese Day! Now, please stand for the pledge.
Pledge of Allegiance
EMMETT: Welcome to Infoflow! My name is EMMETT.
GUY: And I’m GUY. Well, yesterday was weird. I’m glad those pirates sailed away! Today in the news, another category 5 hurricane, this one named Maria, will cross the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
EMMETT: I hope our pirate friends can stay safe! Anyway, good morning Blazers! Are you looking for a lunch buddy? Download the Sit With Us app and find one today! The second event will be held this Friday, so make sure to be there.
GUY: Hey Blazers, we know you’re interested in programming, but don’t want to commit to the stress and grades of a class. Here’s your solution! Join Programming Teaching Club! They’ll teach you all the basics of programming in a fun and relaxed environment, no previous experience necessary. They meet after school in room 314 on Tuesdays. Get with the program, and start programming.
EMMETT:  What are young people of Latin descent experiencing right now?
What are the stereotypes about Asians? How do they affect them?
How do muslim kids feel in their communities?
Do people of color or LGBTQ kids feel heard?
What role do white kids play in changing America?
Are you stuck asking these questions and getting the same answers? Do you want to break down the divisions that hold us all back? If so, come join City at Peace DC! Visit atlasarts.org/city-at-peace for more information.
GUY: Hey Seniors! If you missed your senior picture date, yearbook will be holding retakes on October 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th in the auditorium throughout the day. This includes anyone in the class of 2018, even if you’re officially listed as a junior or a sophomore. If you just want to take your yearbook photo, it is FREE. For those of you who want the full package, you can pay online or you can pay later.
EMMETT: Attention Blazers have you ever wanted to try a Blair Milkshake? I have, every day of my life. So go to Lincoln’s BBQ. From today until the 19th of October some of the proceeds will go to Blair. If you’re like me, and you need to try it, show some Blair Pride and go buy a Blair Milkshake at Lincolns BBQ today. Be careful Blazers, I’ve heard the Blair milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
