SEBASTIEN: We’ve got a great show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.

SEBASTIEN: Welcome back to Infoflow! I’m Sebastien.
TRUNK: And I’m Trunk. On this day in 1970, the New York Stock Exchange admitted its first black member, Joseph Searless. Searless worked as a floor broker for the firm Neuberger, Loeb and Company.
SEBASTIEN: Attention all students interested in playing baseball for Blair this Spring, there will be a mandatory meeting on Monday, February 13th at 3:30 in room 227.  Please plan to attend.
TRUNK: Blair Interracial Dialogue will be hosting another Dialogue after school next week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday in the media center after school. Then on Friday they’ll be watching the documentary “Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution” together! Come through!
SEBASTIEN: Have you ever wanted to be a journalist? Have you ever wondered what is is like to be a judge? Do you want to talk and connect with professionals in a variety of interesting fields? Come to the Career Connections Club on Wednesdays during both lunches in the Career Center. Meetings will be every other week starting Wednesday February 15th. Everyone is welcome! Contact club officers at mbhscareerconnections@gmail.com with any questions. The first speaker will be an FBI agent! Snacks ARE included.
TRUNK: Does your height begin with the number six or seven? Come to room 233 at 3:20 on Wednesday, February 15 for an interest meeting for Coed and Men’s Volleyball. Again, that’s room 233 on February 15 for those interested in volleyball this spring.
SEBASTIEN: On February 4th, Blair’s Ocean Science Bowl teams competed in the regional Chesapeake Bay Bowl. B team took 4th place, and A team won the region and is heading to Nationals in April. Congratulations Blazers!
TRUNK: Hey blazers! Junior class council will be selling valentine’s day baked goods after school on Tuesday, February 14th near the main staircase. Come and buy some to support your class, surprise a special loved one, or satisfy your hunger with a delicious freshly baked treat!
SEBASTIEN: The next open mic will be this Friday, February 17th during both lunches in the media center. Sign up outside of room 141 and hope to see you there!
TRUNK: Hello world! Interested in learning how to code in a fun and supportive environment? Girls Who Code meets Tuesdays in room 328 at 2:30 and 3:20. The curriculum is taught by computer science graduate students from the University of Maryland, and all non-magnet girls who complete 10 sessions of the club this semester will be eligible to receive $100 vouchers. SEBASTIEN: Hey Blazers! Did you know there are four blair students running to be this year’s student member of the board? If you’re interested in knowing more about them, and more about some of the other candidates, come to Blair’s Town Hall on February 14. It will be in the auditorium during periods 5 and 6, so see you there!
