TRUNK: Hey there, Blazers. Today is Friday, February 10th.
SODA: We’ve got a great show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.

SODA: Welcome back to Infoflow! I’m Soda.
TRUNK: And I’m Trunk. The weather for today will be mostly cloudy with a high of 39 and a low of 33, so bring a jacket.
SODA: The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed 53 years ago today by a congressional vote of 290 to 130. The bill forbade the segregation of schools, prohibited people from denying access to public facilities on the basis of race, and helped to eliminate racial discrimination in voting and labor unions.

SODA: Attention any student interested in trying out for JV or Varsity softball please attend a mandatory meeting today, at 2:30 or 3:30 in room 119.  Important forms will be distributed and information disseminated about how to tryout for the team. If you have any questions please see Mr. Hoelman in room 116.  
TRUNK: Calling Blazers!!! Blair Congress is right around the corner. This month’s meeting is on February the 15th, from 3:00 – 4:00 pm in the media center. We will be speaking on upcoming events and what the students want.  
SODA: Attention all students interested in playing baseball for Blair this Spring, there will be a mandatory meeting on Monday, February 13th at 3:30 in room 227.  Please plan to attend.
TRUNK: Attention students: You can play an integral part in the 7th Annual Mid-Winter Play Day this Sunday, February 12th, from 1pm-4pm at the Takoma Park Community Center (7500 Maple Avenue, Takoma Park, MD 20912). Let’s Play America is looking for student volunteer to earn SSL hours between the hours of 12pm and 5pm. Sign up to volunteer today by emailing theplaylady@gmail.com
SODA: It’s black history month! Blair Interracial Dialogue will be hosting another Dialogue after school next week on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday in the media center after school. Then on Friday they’ll be watching the documentary “Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution” together! Come through!
TRUNK: Have you ever wanted to be a journalist? Have you ever wondered what is is like to be a judge? Do you want to talk and connect with professionals in a variety of interesting fields? Come to the Career Connections Club on Wednesdays during both lunches in the Career Center. Meetings will be every other week starting February 15th. Everyone is welcome! Contact club officers at mbhscareerconnections@gmail.com with any questions. The first speaker will be an FBI agent! Snacks ARE included.
SODA: Does your height begin with the number six or seven? Come to room 233 at 3:20 on Wednesday, February 15 for an interest meeting for Coed and Men’s Volleyball. Again, that’s room 233 on February 15 for those interested in volleyball this spring.
TRUNK: On February 4th, Blair’s Ocean Science Bowl teams competed in the regional Chesapeake Bay Bowl. B team took 4th place, and A team won the region and is heading to Nationals in April. Congratulations Blazers!
SODA: Many talented blazers from dancers to musicians have come together to put on Blair’s annual Sankofa production.
