IYANU: Good morning, Blazers! Today is Wednesday, June 7th, 2017.
SODA: We’ve got a tasteful show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.

SODA: Welcome to Infoflow! My name is Soda.
IYANU: And I’m Iyanu. In the news, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain have cut off diplomatic ties with Qatar and closed their airspace and seaports to Qatari vessels and planes.  This has risen from accusations against both sides
SODA: Strange Adventures Music Festival is an annual festival aimed at showcasing musical talent from the Maryland and D.C. area. This year’s event will be Friday, June 9th and 10th at St. Stephen’s Church on 16th street. Go catch Cool Baby, Swan Song, Djembe Jones, 800, Small dad, Mike of Doom, and a bunch of other dope acts.
IYANU: The 2017 Sankofa performance is now available on DVD for the low, low price of $10. You can purchase your copy by going to bnconline.net and clicking on the store tab at the top of the page, or you can swing by the TV studio, room 102, and pick up a copy in person.
SODA: The Spanish Honor Society is seeking applicants for the 2017-2018 school year. If you have at least a 3.5 GPA in your Spanish classes, and a 3.0 GPA overall, and will be at least a junior in Fall 2017 (and beginning at least Spanish 5) at that time), you are eligible to apply. Please obtain application forms in room 170 and see Ms. Araujo if you have any questions. The Spanish Honor Society is a great organization which undertakes charitable activities and hosts parties celebrating Hispanic culture.
IYANU: Attention students, ALL SSL hours MUST be turned into the main office or room 130 drop box by Friday, June 9th to be logged for this school year. Again, the deadline for all second semester SSL hour forms is this Friday, June 9th. Don’t delay and be sure to turn in your forms today! If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Hiscock in room 130.
SODA: There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing field hockey this fall today after school in room 263. If you cannot make the meeting, be sure to see Ms. Lusby in room 263 to get all of the information for tryouts!
IYANU: Blazers come out today to Chipotle at Four Corners from 5-9 pm. Bring your friends, family, even your neighbor. Sophomores this is the end of year fundraiser for our class. Come out and show your class support 2019. Half of the proceeds will be given to the Class of 2019.  
SODA: Are you interested in science and community service? Apply for Science National Honor Society. All juniors and Seniors that have a 3.0 cumulative GPA, a 3.5 GPA in science courses, and will be enrolled in an advanced or honors science class next year are eligible to apply. Applications are available in room 329. All applications are due by today.
IYANU: There will be a Girls Soccer Summer League Tryout tomorrow, June 8th, beginning at 3:00 p.m. on the Track Field.  Those with a 9th Period can join us as soon as they are done with class.  Bring your cleats and a water bottle.  Even if you can’t participate, stop by so that you can get the latest information about summer training and tryouts.  See Coach Gibb if you can’t attend.
SODA: Do you love to sing and dance? Go try out for Blair’s sensational SHOW CHOIR!  You just need to attend ONE of the following dance workshops in Room 16; during lunch either tomorrow or Friday, June 8th or 9th, or after school on June 12th or 13th.  For more information, go to www.mbhsmusic.com or see Ms. H-C for details.
