SEBASTIEN: Hello Blazers! Today is Wednesday, stardate seven zero Seven eight three point four.
JESSICA: We’ve got a beastly show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge

JESSICA: Welcome to Infoflow! My name is Jessica.
SEBASTIEN: And I’m Sebastien. Today’s weather will be cloudy with a high of 71 and a low of 56.
JESSICA: In the news, Arkansas carried out its first double execution in 17 years this week. Convicted murderers Jack H. Jones and Marcel Williams were both executed through lethal injection on Monday night.
SEBASTIEN: Go learn about consent, preventing sexual assault as an active bystander, and rape culture at Women’s Advocacy Club. They are hosting a speaker from Cultures of Consent to hold a workshop about preventing sexual assault. The workshop will take place tomorrow April 27 from 2:45 to 4 PM in the media center. There will be snacks and great discussion.
JESSICA: The Spring Capstone Showcase is taking place tomorrow, April 27th during 5th and 6th period in the Media Center. Head on out to see the awesome projects your peers have completed for their various academies.
SEBASTIEN: Attention seniors: the Counseling Department will be hosting a College Signing Day event tomorrow during both lunches. Go to the SAC to celebrate your post-high school plans. Decorate a pennant with your college or career choice, and pose for pictures with our photo booth props. Staff and students of all ages can wear their college gear to join in on the fun.
JESSICA: Attention seniors: all overdue books will be placed on your obligations as of this Friday. If you want to go to prom and graduate, please return all of your books.
SEBASTIEN: Attention students who have been accepted as an outdoor education counselor: there will be a short orientation meeting this afternoon at 3:20 pm in room 225. The middle school staff will be there to discuss responsibilities and answer questions that you may have. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. Hiscock in room 130.
JESSICA: Get hyped for After Prom! After Prom will be Sunday May 14 from midnight until 4:00 am. The event is open to all juniors and seniors. Bring a picture ID and arrive before 1:30 am to be admitted. There will be food, fun, casino games, laser tag, and tons of awesome prizes.
SEBASTIEN: This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. On Friday during 5th and 6th lunch, there will be an MHAW dialogue. Head on out and share your ideas about staying positive and low-stress. Also on Friday, go and hang out with your friends after school at 5pm in the media center to see the movie The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Tickets cost $2. There will also be concessions so bring extra money.
JESSICA: Blazers, you only have three days left to buy your yearbook. Check out Blair Boulevard today at lunch to see how many times you’re in this year’s edition!
SEBASTIEN: The 2nd annual Montgomery County Youth Media Festival, hosted by Gandhi Brigade Youth Media is taking place this Saturday from 10:30 – 3:30 at the AFI Theater in downtown Silver Spring. Many Blair students will have their documentaries and original films shown, so go visit. Admission is free.
JESSICA: The Blair Varsity Poms Coach will be hosting an informational meeting tomorrow from 3:30pm to 4pm in Room 117 for those interested in auditioning for the 2017-2018 Varsity Team.
SEBASTIEN: The Bob Long Journalism Award, created in honor of former News 4 director and Blair student, is open to all Montgomery Blair seniors. Create a short video individually or with a partner to be considered for the award. Visit the BNC website for details. Submissions are due by May 5th.
