| KENIA: And I’m Kenia. In the news, the United States National Baseball Team beat Puerto Rico yesterday to take home its first World Baseball Classic title. The Puerto Rican team came to the tournament with their hair dyed blond as an act of group solidarity. The team’s fans were firmly behind their cinderella-story group, so much so that the island has run out of blond hair dye as citizens have rushed to mimic their favorite baseball players. |
| SEBASTIEN: Our school’s robotics team, the Blair Robot Project, is attending its second competition of the season at South River High School in Edgewater this weekend. Head on out to support the Blair robotics team. |
| KENIA: Interested in TED talks? Seeking inspiration? Looking to hear from interesting people? Blair’s first-ever TED-X event is going to be held on Thursday, April 6th between 6 and 9 PM in the auditorium. In addition to talks from amazing guest speakers, there will be an assortment of pupusas, italian ice, and t-shirts for all attendees. Tickets are limited, so buy now! | SEBASTIEN: The National English Honor Society is sponsoring a book drive for Maryland Book Bank all of next week, March 27th through March 31st. Collection will be at the tables in front of the school store. For every two books donated, students will receive a raffle ticket for their English class. The class that wins the raffle will earn donuts! |
