SEBASTIEN: We’ve got a grrrrrreat show for you today, but first, please stand for the pledge.

SEBASTIEN: Welcome back to Infoflow! I’m Sebastien.
KENIA: And I’m Kenia. Today’s weather will be sunny with a high of 47 and a low of 31.
SEBASTIEN: In the news, the superstore Sears may be going out of business. Many retail locations of Sears, along with its merged partner Kmart, have started closing, leading to greater long term issues for the company. They are seeing issues like dwindling sales, competition from online retailers, and an unsuccessful business merger.
KENIA: OneBlair is holding a logo design contest! They are looking for submissions that celebrate diversity, unification, and solidarity at Blair. The winning designs will be printed on t-shirts. Make sure to include the name “OneBlair” in your logo design. Email submissions to mbhsoneblair@gmail.com or give them to Mr Shindel in room 223 by tomorrow.
SEBASTIEN: The HOOPS basketball tournament is today after school at 3 o’clock. There will be a demonstration outside by a police canine team and the MCPS motorcycle officers, along with an opportunity to check out fire and rescue equipment. Indoor basketball games start at 4:00 accompanied by music from a 93.9 WKYS DJ. Pizza and Chick-fil-A will be available for purchase.
KENIA: Go to Mama Lucia’s in downtown Silver Spring today from 4:00-10:00pm to support the Junior Class Fundraiser. Whether you dine in or carry out, 20% of the proceeds will be going towards the junior class.
SEBASTIEN: Our school’s robotics team, the Blair Robot Project, is attending its second competition of the season at South River High School in Edgewater this weekend. Head on out to support the Blair robotics team.
KENIA: Head on out to this month’s Blair Congress meeting in the media center from 3:00 – 4:00 today after school. Food will be provided. The meeting will be centered around current events and there will be an open mic discussion.
SEBASTIEN: Interested in TED talks? Seeking inspiration? Looking to hear from interesting people? Blair’s first-ever TED-X event is going to be held on Thursday, April 6th between 6 and 9 PM in the auditorium. In addition to talks from amazing guest speakers, there will be an assortment of pupusas, italian ice, and t-shirts for all attendees. Tickets are limited, so buy now! They can be purchased at www.tedx.mbhs.edu.
